At the Holt Real Estate Team, we don’t just want to help you find a house; we want to help you find a home in a community you love. If you’ve spent any time in Stoughton, Wisconsin, you know that when the snow thaws and the flowers bloom, this city truly comes to life.

Whether you're a longtime resident, planning a visit, or looking to move to this charming corner of Dane County, mark your calendars! From world-class performances at the Opera House to the legendary Syttende Mai festival, here is what’s happening in Stoughton in spring of 2026.

1. Culture & Arts at the Stoughton Opera House

March and April are packed with incredible talent at one of the most beautiful Victorian theaters in the country. If you haven't experienced a show here yet, don't let another season pass by! Spring is the perfect time to grab a ticket.

  • Charlie Parr: March 21, 2026

  • Sam Bush: March 28, 2026
  • Horseshoes & Hand Grenades: April 25, 2026

2. Stoughton Village Players Presents: Hands on a Hardbody

You'll laugh! You'll cry! You'll never look at a Nissan the same way ever again! Support local community theater by checking out the March run of this quirky show with music by Amanda Green and Trey Anastasio from Phish. The Village Players are known for their high-quality productions, and their spring musicals are always a seasonal highlight.

3. Community Expo & Home Show

Are you thinking about a spring home refresh? Or maybe looking for your next small business to support? The Community Expo is a fantastic way to meet local business owners, from contractors and landscapers to boutique shops. It’s a "one-stop shop" to see what makes Stoughton's local economy so vibrant. Be sure to stop by The Holt Team booth and say "hi"!

4. The 2026 Syttende Mai Festival

This is the "Big One." Stoughton hosts one of the largest Norwegian Constitution Day celebrations in North America. Expect three days of Norwegian dancers, authentic food (lefse, anyone?), a massive parade, and the Syttende Mai Classic run.

Why We Love Stoughton in the Spring

There is a unique energy in Stoughton during the spring (ok, and year-round). You’ll see neighbors out on the Yahara River bike trails, families gathering at Viking County Park, and the downtown shops along Main Street propping their doors open to finally let all that fresh air in.

If all this community spirit has you thinking about planting roots here, we’d love to help you explore the local market. We might be a little biased (several of our agents call this hidden gem "home," after all) and that's ok! Who better to show you around than a local who can spot the perfect property and the perfect pizza place?

Stoughton has a wonderful mix of historic Victorians and modern, move-in ready new builds that are perfect for enjoying all of Wisconsin’s seasons. Reach out to The Holt Real Estate Team today, and let us be your guide!
